An administrative case has been opened in Moscow against rapper Icegergert.
The Moscow Prosecutor's Office has opened an administrative case against St. Petersburg rapper Icegergert (real name — Georgy Gergert), for propaganda of extremist symbols. This was reported on November 6 in the press service of the prosecutor's office of the capital.
The reason was a public statement by the rapper at a concert in Moscow, where he uttered the slogan of the extremist group "Prisoner Criminal Unity" (banned in the territory of the Russian Federation), which is banned in Russia.
"The materials will be sent to the court for consideration on the merits. The results of their review are being monitored by the Moscow Prosecutor's Office. 20.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Propaganda or public display of attributes or symbols of extremist organizations." — Ed.) provides for punishment up to administrative arrest for up to 15 days," the department's Telegram channel says.
It is noted that the rapper admitted his guilt.
Earlier, on November 2, the rapper was summoned to the prosecutor's office for administrative proceedings. On October 30, the actor apologized for the incident, saying that he uttered the phrase "stupidly and in a state of intoxication." He stressed that he does not support banned organizations and always openly expresses his love for his country.
