An emergency shutdown of a power transmission line (transmission line) occurred in the Kherson region. This was announced on November 5 by the governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo.
"There has been an emergency shutdown of the high—voltage power line," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to him, 10 municipal districts, more than 300 settlements and about 200 thousand people were left without electricity. He also added that all social facilities have been switched to backup power. Specialists are currently working at the site.
The governor of the Kursk region, Alexander Khinshtein, announced on the same day that a gas pipeline and a transmission line had been damaged in Rylsk as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). He also noted that operational services are currently working at the scene.
