Peskov explained Putin's words about nuclear tests
Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed to study the feasibility of nuclear tests, rather than start preparations for them. This was announced on November 5 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"I want to emphasize that the president did not give instructions to start preparing the test," he said in an interview with TASS.
Peskov stressed that the president had only instructed to work out the feasibility of nuclear weapons testing. He added that this topic is currently under development.
Earlier in the day, the president indicated that the situation related to the statements of US President Donald Trump about the nuclear tests of the United States is a serious issue. At the same time, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov called it expedient to immediately begin preparing Russia for full-scale nuclear tests.
