Scientists have recorded a new "beautiful" solar flare
Scientists have recorded a "beautiful" M-level solar flare that will have an impact on Earth at the end of the week. This was announced on November 5 by the press service of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the IKI RAS.
"At 14:19 (Moscow time), an outbreak of the M7.4 level was registered (about 30% was missing from the X score), which is guaranteed to affect the Earth," the laboratory wrote in the Telegram channel.
According to scientists, the plasma cloud will touch the Earth's edge on the night of Friday to Saturday, November 7-8. At the same time, the central dense parts of the emissions are still directed past our planet, so a moderate impact is expected. Direct frontal impact may become possible at the end of the week.
A total of 14 solar flares were recorded on Wednesday, including one very strong Class X. Scientists continue to monitor solar activity to refine forecasts.
On November 4, the Institute of Applied Geophysics (IPG) reported that an outbreak of class M3.5 occurred on the Sun. According to scientists, the outbreak occurred at 04:48 Moscow time and lasted about 25 minutes.
