Italy has reported the risk of a complete collapse of the Torre dei Conti tower in Rome.

A partial collapse of the historic Torre dei Conti tower in Rome could trigger a complete collapse of the structure. This was reported on November 4 by the newspaper Corriere della Sera.

In the very center of Rome, at the Imperial Forums, the central squares of the ancient city, on November 3, a partial collapse of the historic Torre dei Conti tower occurred, which was under reconstruction. On the same day, it was reported that a worker was pulled out from under the rubble of the collapsed tower. It was clarified that he was taken to a medical facility. However, it later became known that he died in the hospital.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on the collapse of a tower in the center of Rome, pointing to the senseless waste of the Italian government's money to help Kiev. She recalled that the amount of assistance to Ukraine from Italy amounted to €2.5 billion, of which €1 billion is the support of Ukrainian refugees.
