The Supreme Leader of Iran named the main conditions for starting cooperation with the United States.

Cooperation between Iran and the United States is excluded as long as the American authorities continue to support Israel. This was stated on November 3 by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ali Khamenei, during a meeting with students.

"Cooperation [It is impossible to negotiate with Iran, given the continued US support for Israel, as well as the presence of American military bases," the ISNA news agency quoted him as saying in its Telegram channel.

Khamenei also pointed to the "fundamental" contradictions between the two states.

Earlier, on November 1, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that Iran was ready for negotiations on its nuclear program, but the United States had made unacceptable demands. At the same time, Araqchi clarified that the country is not interested in direct negotiations with Washington. According to the Foreign Minister, an agreement can be reached through indirect negotiations.

Prior to that, on October 22, Araqchi said that Tehran would not return to negotiations with the United States on its nuclear program as long as Washington made unreasonable demands. It was also noted that Iran has consistently denied attempts to acquire nuclear weapons.
