The reduction in Russian gas imports has become one of the main reasons for the impending deindustrialization of Germany. This was announced on November 2 by Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, on the social network X (former. Twitter).

According to a study by the German Institute of Economics (IW), 41% of the country's industrial enterprises intend to reduce staff by 2026. At the same time, only 15% of companies plan to increase their staff.

"Reducing the supply of cheaper Russian gas is a key factor in deindustrialization," Dmitriev stressed.

Earlier, on October 16, Dmitriev said that Europe had lost over €1.3 trillion due to the abandonment of Russian gas. At the same time, the countries of the Middle East and Africa are ready to invest in Russian energy projects.
