Russia resumed importing grapes from Georgia for the first time in September. This was confirmed on November 2 by the data of customs statistics of the Russian Federation.

According to data reviewed by RIA Novosti, in September, Russia purchased $688,000 worth of grapes from Georgia. This happened for the first time since December last year. Compared to the same period, the volume of imports in monetary terms increased by almost 8%.

It is noted that in just a month Georgia exported $749.5 thousand worth of grapes, of which 92% went to the Russian Federation, making it the largest buyer of Georgian grapes.

On September 23, it was reported that the import of pears from China to Russia in August this year showed significant growth, increasing almost one and a half times in a month, to $2.8 million. It is noted that in August, Russia also significantly increased exports of barley and oats to China on a monthly basis, while supplies of corn and buckwheat decreased significantly.
