Farewell to actor Roman Popov took place in Moscow.

The Central Clinical Hospital (CCB) No. 1 in Moscow hosted a farewell ceremony for actor Roman Popov, who died at the age of 41 from complications after chemotherapy. This was reported on November 1 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

The civil memorial service lasted from 11:00 Moscow time to 13:00 Moscow time. After the ceremony, the funeral service began. The actor's family asked only the next of kin to attend.

Among those who came to say goodbye to Popov were showman Hovhannes Grigoryan, comedian Karen Harutyunov, general producer of the Okko online cinema Gavriil Gordeev, musicians Roman Arkhipov and Alexander Astashenok, comedian Garik Kharlamov, actor Sergey Burunov and others.

Popov was seen off on his last journey with applause.

A source from Izvestia reported Popov's death on October 28. The actor died at the age of 40. He had a recurrence of brain cancer, discovered in 2018. Popov is remembered for his role as investigator Mukhich in the TV series "Policeman from Rublevka", he has several dozen paintings to his credit.

Roman Popov's colleague on the series, Alexander Petrov, noted his talent on October 28 and called him a brave and talented person. According to Petrov, the actor was always ready for the shooting day, and also treated everyone on the set with love and sincerity, while remaining attentive and easy. He added that Popov called himself a man who "knows how to smile with the back of his head" and treats life with humor.
