Deceased Limp Bizkit bassist Sam Rivers found in a pool of blood

The body of Sam Rivers, the bass guitarist of the iconic rock band Limp Bizkit, was discovered at his home in Florida, TMZ reports.

According to the newspaper, the woman who found the musician in the bathroom managed to call the rescue service. At the time of the discovery, Rivers was face down in a pool of his own blood. The woman tried to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation before the arrival of doctors, however, despite the efforts, the guitarist could not be saved. The official cause of death has not yet been announced.

Sam Rivers was one of the founders of Limp Bizkit in the mid-90s. In 2015, he temporarily left the band due to liver problems. In 2018, the musician needed a liver transplant, but he was never able to completely get rid of his addictions.

On October 19, it was reported that the bass guitarist of the Limp Bizkit musical group, Sam Rivers, died at the age of 48. As the band noted, the performer was "pure magic."
