In St. Petersburg, a 13-year-old teenager was detained who tried to set fire to official cars at the police department in the Krasnogvardeysky district. This was reported on November 1 in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.

According to the agency, the teenager met the girl on the Internet, but an unknown person intervened in their virtual communication, who introduced himself as an employee of the special service. He said that the teenager's girlfriend was a citizen of Ukraine, and then threatened that the young man and his family would face criminal liability for communicating with her.

In addition, an unknown person extorted money from imperfect, however, without receiving it, transferred 2.5 thousand rubles to him for the purchase of gasoline and forced him to set fire to police cars.

It is noted that a criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted terrorist act").

In May, it was reported that a minor resident of Novokuznetsk was detained in the Kemerovo region, who planned to detonate an improvised explosive device (IED) on the territory of the city military enlistment office. A criminal case was initiated under the article for preparation for a terrorist act (Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
