Manturov pointed to the joint efforts of the Russian Federation and China to increase trade

Russia and China will make efforts to increase trade turnover between the two countries. This was announced on November 1 by Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.

He noted the importance of strengthening investment ties, as well as creating a fair, transparent and predictable business environment. According to Manturov, this is a prerequisite for further improving transport connectivity between the countries and increasing trade volumes.

The Deputy Prime Minister also added that over the past four years, the bilateral trade turnover has more than doubled to $245 billion. At the same time, he noted that this year there has been a slight decrease in the indicator due to market conditions and external negative factors.

"We need to make additional efforts to return to growth mode. In this context, the signing in May of the updated intergovernmental agreement on the promotion and mutual protection of investments was a timely step," Manturov said.
