Four districts of Russia will face excess precipitation in November
In November, excess precipitation is expected in the Northwestern, Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts of Russia. This was announced on November 1 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.
According to him, the largest amount of precipitation will fall on the Kola Peninsula, in the Murmansk and Leningrad regions, Karelia, as well as in the north of the Urals — in the Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrugs. In Siberia, an overabundance of moisture is expected in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Irkutsk Region, Khakassia and Tuva.
The head of the Hydrometeorological Center added that precipitation shortages are forecast in the Central Federal District, Chukotka, the Magadan Region, the Kamchatka Territory and the northeast of Yakutia. At the same time, precipitation in the rest of the country will be within the normal range.
Vilfand told Izvestia on October 28 that an anticyclonal circulation would be established in the capital region during the first half of November, which would lead to an increase in atmospheric pressure by 10-15 mmHg. The weather forecast for Moscow this month also promises to be warm and cloudy with occasional rains.
