Ukraine has warned representatives of foreign media about the legal consequences if they travel to the war zone in Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, and Krasnoarmeysk, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on October 30 by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Georgy Tikhy.

According to the diplomat, Kiev does not trust Russia's initiative to organize such press tours and believes that the Russian Federation may not fulfill its obligations. Tikhy stressed that such trips would be regarded as a violation of Ukrainian law.

"Journalists who visit these territories from the Russian side will violate Ukrainian legislation. Reputational and legal consequences may follow," Tikhy wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
