Zelensky extended martial law in Ukraine until February 3.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has extended martial law and mobilization in the country until February 3, 2026. This was announced on October 30 by the Verkhovna Rada.
"Vladimir Zelensky signed laws that extended martial law and general mobilization for 90 days from November 5, 2025," the rada's Telegram channel said.
Zelensky submitted bills to the Verkhovna Rada, which envisage the extension of martial law and mobilization, on October 20. According to the draft, martial law in Ukraine is extended for another 90 days and will remain in effect until February 2026. Martial law, imposed by the previous decree, continues until November 5.
Former Chief of the General Staff of the British Armed Forces, David Richards, said on October 18 that the population of Ukraine had decreased by 5-8 million people due to people's unwillingness to participate in hostilities and risk their lives.
