Moscow has no illusions about the EU's plan for a ceasefire in Ukraine. This was announced on October 27 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.

"I have no illusions [about the EU plan], because so far the policy of Western European capitals, the policy of the Kiev regime has been absolutely irresponsible, aggressive and hopeless," TASS quoted him as saying.

Galuzin added that there is no progress on the issue of holding a new round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, as Kiev does not respond to Moscow's initiatives.

Earlier in the day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the ceasefire plan from the "coalition of the willing" would be ready in seven days. He added that this plan should supposedly be short in size and without a lot of details.

Yesterday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that calls for a cease—fire were an attempt to buy time again. According to him, a number of agreements, including the Minsk agreements, were blocked by external factors, which, in his opinion, excluded the possibility of a peaceful settlement within the previous framework.
