The United States has called for an end to the supply of modern weapons to Ukraine, The American Thinker (AT) magazine reports.

According to the publication, the refusal to supply new weapons to the conflict zone will allow US President Donald Trump to increase pressure on Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.

The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, announced on October 16 that Kiev considers Tomahawk missiles to be a weapon that can "change the rules of the game." According to him, Ukraine wants to receive several other weapons systems that require U.S. approval.

Later, on October 17, Bloomberg reported that Trump had changed his rhetoric after a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, moving to a more constructive dialogue, which, according to analysts, could be detrimental to Ukraine's interests. According to the publication, this indicates that the American leader is ready to give diplomacy another chance.
