On October 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he liked the iconic painting "I Walk through Moscow" featuring Nikita Mikhalkov, who recently turned 80 years old.

The Head of state shared this in an interview with VGTRK correspondent Pavel Zarubin, who noted that this film is loved by the whole country.

"And so am I," Putin agreed. His words are quoted by Zarubin in his Telegram channel.

Mikhalkov said on October 22 that Russian President Vladimir Putin personally congratulated him on his anniversary at the Workshop 12 Theater. The director also added that it was a great honor for him to announce the award of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called, whose holder was his father Sergei Mikhalkov.
