The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia has demanded that the property of former Sochi Mayor Alexei Kopaigorodsky, his relatives and several companies and individuals in the amount of 1.6 billion rubles be converted into state income. This was reported by Kommersant on October 26.

It is noted that the list of assets includes 77 real estate objects located in the Krasnodar Territory, St. Petersburg, Leningrad Region and Moscow.

In addition, the State Duma of the Russian Federation demands the seizure of 14 apartments: two in Gelendzhik, nine in Sochi, one in St. Petersburg and two "in prestigious areas of Moscow."

The claim for confiscation of property and funds was filed with the Sochi District Court on October 16.

Earlier, on August 13, the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow extended Kopaigorodsky's arrest until September 24. His wife Yanina's arrest was extended until November 12.

The former head of Sochi was detained on September 25, 2024 in a special operation area. He was arrested on the same day, and the measure of restraint was repeatedly extended. The wife of the ex-mayor of Sochi was detained in November 2024, placed under house arrest on November 13, and transferred to a pre-trial detention center on March 6, 2025.
