The 37-year-old Russian goalkeeper of the American hockey club (HC) Florida Panthers, Sergey Bobrovsky, marked an important milestone in his career by reaching 50 dry matches in the National Hockey League (NHL) championships. He achieved this success following the results of the NHL regular season match with the Vegas Golden Knights, where his team won 3-0.

At the end of the game, forwards Sam Rinehart (18th minute), Cole Schwindt (44th) and AJ Greer (51st) scored goals.

For Bobrovsky, it was his 50th NHL game. The goalkeeper became the second Russian after 50-year-old Evgeny Nabokov, who managed to reach this mark. Bobrovsky went down in history as the 33rd goalkeeper in league history with 50 shutouts. The record for the number of shutouts in the NHL belongs to Canadian hockey player Martin Brodeur (125 games).

The Russian forward of the Washington Capitals hockey club Alexander Ovechkin, taking part in the match against the Columbus Blue Jackets HC, was able to score the 899th goal a day earlier and thereby match the 1999 Stanley Cup winner Mike Modano. The game ended with a score of 5:1 in favor of the capital club.
