A criminal case has been opened into a gas explosion in an apartment building in Sochi.

Investigators have opened a criminal case into the explosion of a gas-air mixture in Sochi, which killed a 75-year-old man and injured several people. This was announced on October 25 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"According to preliminary data, a gas-air mixture exploded in one of the apartments in an apartment building located on Timiryazev Street in Sochi last night. <...> A part of the building structures collapsed. As a result, a 75-year—old man died," the message of the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation says.
