An explosion of a gas-air mixture in an apartment building in Sochi killed one person, injured another, and evacuated 70 people. This was announced on October 25 in the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Krasnodar Territory.

The operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory reported three casualties. Among them is a 70-year-old man who died, as well as a 38-year-old woman and a middle-aged man who are in serious condition. Doctors continue to fight for their lives. A 36-year-old man also suffered a hip injury.

Two temporary accommodation facilities have been set up for the affected residents, where 18 people are currently staying. Emergency services and law enforcement officers are working at the scene.
