Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a massive and six group strikes. Enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, transport and energy infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), assembly, production, storage and launch sites of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations, nationalists and foreign mercenaries were affected.

"Units of the North group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of four mechanized, infantry, jaeger, amphibious assault brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three air defense brigades, the Center for Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the border detachment of the Border Service of Ukraine. The village of Bologovka, Kharkiv region, has been liberated in the Kharkiv direction. During the week, the enemy's losses amounted to more than 1,375 military personnel, eight armored combat vehicles, 82 vehicles and 14 field artillery guns," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Fighters of the Zapad group of forces defeated formations of seven mechanized, amphibious assault, assault brigades, a battalion of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three air defense brigades and two National Guard brigades. The enemy lost over 1,610 soldiers, four tanks, 20 armored combat vehicles and 136 vehicles.

Units of the "Southern" group of forces advanced into the depths of the enemy's defenses and liberated the settlements of Pleshcheyevka and Dronovka in the Donetsk People's Republic. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to 1,485 soldiers, six tanks, 20 armored combat vehicles and 59 vehicles.

Units of the Center group of forces liberated the settlements of Chunishino, Lenino and Prominh, Donetsk People's Republic, as well as Ivanovka, Dnipropetrovsk region. The enemy lost more than 3,610 soldiers, three tanks, 18 armored combat vehicles and 37 vehicles.

During the week, the Ukrainian Air Force's Su-27 aircraft, four cruise missiles, 18 guided aerial bombs, 15 US-made HIMARS rockets and 1,441 aircraft-type drones were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost 668 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 92,178 UAVs, 633 anti-aircraft missile systems, 25,644 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,605 multiple rocket launchers, 30,751 field artillery and mortars, 44,733 units of special military vehicles.
