It is clarified that this happened after several months of efforts and support from Zhao for the cryptoproject of the American leader's family, World Liberty Financial.

According to the newspaper, Trump made it clear to his advisers that he "understands the arguments about political persecution related to Zhao and others."

As White House press secretary Caroline Levitt noted, the head of the American administration "used his constitutional right to pardon Zhao," who, in her opinion, became a victim of the "war of the administration of former US President Joe Biden against cryptocurrencies."
