On October 23, Russian gymnast Angelina Melnikova dedicated her victory in the individual all-around at the World Championships to the coaches and medical staff who prepared her for the competition.
According to the results of the four types of the program, Melnikova scored 55.066 points and took first place, winning a medal at the World Gymnastics Championships for the first time since 2021.
"I want to say a huge thank you to all the coaches and staff who are now trying to help me in everything. To all the medical staff who trained me so that I could have three starts: first Paris, then the national championships, and now this one. Melnikova took first place in the balance beam final on September 14 at the first international start of the FIG World Challenge Cup tournament since 2021, which was held in Paris. It is noted that she earned 13,500 points, which equate to 5.6 points. In addition, in the floor exercise final, the gymnast received 13,400 points (5.3) and took second place.
