On October 22, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, in response to the publication of his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto, who ridiculed the words of the Polish Foreign Minister about the possible landing of Russian President Vladimir Putin's plane by order of the International Criminal Court (ICC), expressed hope that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) would be able to disable the Druzhba oil pipeline.

"I hope that your brave compatriot, Major Magyar (Robert Brovdi, Commander of the unmanned systems Forces of Ukraine. — Ed.), it will finally be possible to disable the [Druzhba] oil pipeline, and you will receive your oil through Croatia," Sikorski wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

He also noted that he was pleased with the decision of the Polish court to release a Ukrainian citizen suspected of blowing up the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.

Bloomberg reported on September 20 that the European Union (EU) countries are considering the option of imposing restrictions on the import of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline, which supplies Hungary and Slovakia. It was noted that if new restrictive rules were introduced, the European Union would be able to fulfill the main requirement of US President Donald Trump, which he imposes on the bloc as a condition for Washington to join its allies in imposing restrictions against Russia.

Prior to that, on September 8, Szijjarto stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on the Russian infrastructure had not affected the operation of the Druzhba oil pipeline.
