Anton Leshchinsky was appointed acting rector of Shchepkin College
Anton Leshchinsky, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, became the acting rector of the Shchepkin Higher Theater School at the Maly Theater, and Boris Lyubimov was appointed president of the Institute. This was announced on October 22 in the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
"Anton Leshchinsky, Candidate of Art History, Professor, has been appointed acting rector of the Shchepkin Higher Theater School (Institute) at the State Academic Maly Theater of Russia," the Telegram channel said.
It is noted that Leshchinsky has been teaching at the Shchepkin College for 28 years, and since September 2022 he has been heading the university's master's program. He also participated in the creation of more than 25 performances of the Maly Theater School. He was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia and in 2022 was awarded the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree.
The Russian Ministry of Culture supported the decision of the institute's staff to appoint the post of president, and Boris Lyubimov, who previously worked as rector, was appointed to this position.
On September 30, Diana Abdulganieva, Acting Vice-rector of the University, was appointed interim rector of Kazan State Medical University (GMU) by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. It was noted that Alexey Sozinov, who has been the head of the university since 2009, is moving to a new position — Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.
