Melnikova won the qualification in the all-around at the World Championships
Olympic gymnastics champion Angelina Melnikova qualified for the finals of the World Individual All-around Championships in Jakarta on October 21 with the best result.
In qualifying, she scored 54.566 points, which allowed her to take first place. In addition to Melnikova, another Russian woman, Lyudmila Roshchina, reached the final of the individual all—around, taking seventh place with a score of 52.065 points.
Melnikova and Anna Kalmykova will participate in the vault in the finals, while Russians Melnikova and Leila Vasilyeva advanced to the final stage of the competition in the uneven bars exercises.
The individual all-around final will be held on October 23, and individual medals will be awarded on October 24 and 25.
