The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has not allowed Russian athletes to participate in international competitions. The relevant information was published on the official website of the Russian Ski Racing Federation on October 21.

"The Russian Ski Sports Association (ALVSR) expresses deep disappointment with today's decision of the Council of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) to further deprive Russian athletes of the right to compete in international competitions even as individual neutral athletes (AIN)," the statement said.

The federation noted that this decision of the FIS is discriminatory and contrary to the principles of political neutrality. In addition, the FLGR will continue to use all available means to protect skiers from Russia.

"The ALVSR remains committed to the principles of fairness, non—discrimination and equality in sports," the publication said.

Norwegian skier Johannes Klebo announced on October 11 that the return of Russian representatives to international tournaments would be good for the whole sport. In addition, he noted that the return of the Russians would make international tournaments tougher and more interesting.
