A suspect in the murder of director and cameraman Sergei Politika was charged in absentia. He is wanted. This was announced on October 21 by the Moscow Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.

"By the investigators of the metropolitan Investigative Committee to the person involved in the criminal case <...> the death of director and cameraman Sergei Politika has been charged in absentia. He has been put on the wanted list," the agency's Telegram channel says.

It is noted that during the investigation of the criminal case, video recordings from surveillance cameras were seized and examined, as well as a number of witnesses were questioned. In addition, the photos of the person involved were uploaded to the facial recognition system.

The ministry added that investigators and law enforcement officers are taking all necessary measures to detain the accused.

Earlier that day, Izvestia published footage of the Politician's murder, which was caught on surveillance cameras. The footage shows how Sergei sprayed the attacker with a canister, who, in turn, attacked the director with a knife.

The death of Sergei Politika became known on October 20. Late in the evening, the man went out to the entrance to smoke, but at that moment men came in there. The director made a remark to them, and as a result, a conflict ensued, but everything was resolved peacefully.

Later, the men collided again in the entrance, and again there was a conflict. The politician sprayed a canister in the eyes of a 33-year-old foreigner. As a result of the incident, the young man pulled out a knife and stabbed Sergei in the chest. According to a source in Izvestia, the alleged killer of director and cameraman Sergei Politika is 33-year-old Armen S.

A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional infliction of serious harm to health, resulting in the death of the victim").
