The Telegram and WhatsApp messengers (part of Meta, the organization is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) ceased to function in the regions of Russia, according to data from the Downdetector portal on October 21.

It is noted that many users have reported problems accessing the application. Most of the complaints were received from the Krasnodar Territory, Rostov, Saratov regions, Stavropol Territory and Magadan region.

In addition, WhatsApp failures are observed in the Kursk, Astrakhan regions, Stavropol, Krasnodar regions, and the Republic of North Ossetia.
