The head of the British Workers' Party, George Galloway, is not going to return to his homeland because of the threat to his safety. He made the corresponding statement on October 20 on the sidelines of the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the RT channel.

"I won't be returning to Britain for now. I'm not safe there. If I, who have been a member of parliament since the 1980s, can be met by armed police, detained under the terrorism act, searched and my data copied, obviously I am not able to work in such conditions," he said in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
