Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on Saturday, October 18, drew parallels between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and former US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, noting "one criminal handwriting."

The comparison was made against the background of Zelensky's meeting with American leader Donald Trump.

"Zelensky in Washington is like Nuland in Kiev — one criminal handwriting. Why? Because Zelensky is a product of American ultraliberals," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

Zelensky arrived at the White House on October 17 to meet with Trump. During the conversation, Trump promised to discuss with Zelensky his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which took place on October 16. In addition, the American leader called himself the president-mediator.

After the meeting, the head of the Kiev regime told reporters that he did not want to raise the issue of long-range missiles. In addition, he indicated that he was ready for negotiations of various formats to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. Ukrainian media noted on October 18 that Zelensky had failed to achieve any of his goals during negotiations with Trump, in particular, increasing pressure on Russia and transferring Tomahawk missiles.
