White House press Secretary Caroline Leavitt responded rudely to a HuffPost reporter's question about who chose the venue for the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump.

"Your mom," the HuffPost quoted a White House official as saying.

When the journalist clarified whether Levitt found his answer funny, she criticized the reporter for considering himself a journalist. She called him an "extreme leftist scribbler" who is not taken seriously even by colleagues.

In conclusion, the press secretary asked him not to send his "insincere, biased and delusional questions" in the future.

Earlier, on October 17, Grigory Karasin, chairman of the Federation Council's International Affairs Committee, noted that Hungary was chosen for the upcoming meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump, as it suits both countries.

On October 16, Trump announced a meeting with Putin in Hungary and called the phone conversation with the Russian president productive. He later stated that he hoped to hold the summit within two weeks.
