The former chief engineer of the FPC was suspected of abuse of authority

The security forces suspect the former chief engineer of the North Caucasian Federal Passenger Company (FPC), subordinate to Russian Railways, of exceeding his authority during the acceptance of equipment and construction and installation work. This was reported on October 14 by the Federal Security Service for the Rostov region.

"The former chief engineer of the North Caucasian JSC FPC was involved in abuse of office when accepting incomplete equipment and construction and installation work, which contributed to causing material damage to Russian Railways LLC in the amount of 17,795,001.12 rubles," the agency quotes TASS.

It is noted that the criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abuse of official authority").

The department added that the suspect had signed certificates of completed work on the supply of incomplete equipment during the reconstruction of charging columns at the Adler station of the North Caucasian Railway, which is a branch of Russian Railways.

On July 22, a criminal case was opened in Vladivostok on abuse of office against the vice-rector of a university. It was noted that the educational institution suffered material damage of more than 3.3 million rubles.
