A tiger mauled the keeper of the Periyar Nature Reserve in India. This was reported on October 14 by the newspaper The News Indian Express.

"The body of the caretaker, partially eaten by a tiger, was found in Ponnampalamedu in the Sabarimala forest <...>. The deceased was identified as 32-year-old Anil Kumar," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, when Kumar did not return three days later, a search operation was organized. During it, his body was found, which, according to preliminary data, turned out to be the victim of a tiger attack.

Earlier, on September 22, it was reported that tiger trainer Ryan Easley, who worked in an Oklahoma nature reserve in the United States, was killed in an accident involving one of the tigers under his care. It was clarified that the man was no longer breathing when law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene.
