Russian State Duma deputy Leonid Ivlev on Tuesday, October 14, called on French President Emmanuel Macron to stop threatening Russia.

According to him, the autumn rains, the lack of sunlight and the intense decline in the presidential rating in the face of a permanent change in the French government "led Macron into a catastrophic mental state."

"And instead of walking in the Bois de Boulogne to strengthen the hormones he needed, Macron began to threaten Russia. And it would be better to take care of France, which has neither a budget nor the authority of the government," Ivlev said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

In addition, the MP noted that Macron "should be ashamed" to blame Russia after Paris deceived Moscow with the Minsk agreements.

Ivlev also stressed that Russia is participating in peace talks from Istanbul to Alaska and "will achieve its goal."

On October 12, Macron announced that Moscow would have to pay if it did not sit down at the negotiating table. He noted that France and its partners are currently considering the possibility of providing additional assistance to Ukraine, whose infrastructure has been severely damaged.

Later, on October 13, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Alexei Chepa, responded to Macron's threat against Russia. The MP noted that the French leader is currently in an extremely difficult political situation, the government is following resignation after resignation, and he himself is having a hard time avoiding impeachment.
