Killer whales sink a French yacht with children in the Atlantic Ocean
The yacht, which was carrying three children and their parents, was damaged by a flock of killer whales and began to take on water. This was reported on October 13 by the Daily Star newspaper.
The incident occurred late on Friday evening about 88 km southeast of the Portuguese city of Peniche. The family was on a yacht flying the French flag, known to locals as Ti'fare. After the fishing vessel was unable to evacuate the passengers on its own, a military helicopter was sent to help.
All the survivors were taken to the hospital for examination. None of the family members were seriously injured.
In August, a bear attacked the team of Tatar-Bashkir singer Gulnaz Asayeva while relaxing in nature. It was noted that Vadim Fatkhinurov, the concert director of the singer, was injured during the incident.
