The weather forecaster reported that the Earth was caught in a stream of solar wind from a coronal hole.

The Earth was exposed to the flow of high-temperature solar wind, which led to increased disturbances in the magnetosphere. This was announced on October 12 by Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center.

"In the second half of the night, the Earth was caught in a stream of fast and high—temperature solar wind," Leus clarified in the Telegram channel.

He noted that at the moment, the level of magnetic disturbances has not yet reached the critical level of magnetic storms, but, according to forecasts, it is expected to intensify to a weak G1 class magnetic storm, the probability of which is about 60%.

Earlier, on October 3, a strong flare occurred on the Sun, which resulted in a large release of plasma towards the Earth. It was noted that the phenomenon occurred in the active center No. 4232, located exactly on the Sun—Earth line, which indicates the possibility of a cloud of solar plasma approaching the Earth.
