The Kremlin expressed an optimistic mood before the meeting between Putin and Aliyev

The mood of the Russian side ahead of the meeting of the leaders of Russia and Azerbaijan, Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev, is full of optimism. This was announced to journalists on October 9 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

He noted that the presidents will be able to discuss all the accumulated problems in their relations.

"Now we are talking about Putin's state visit to Tajikistan. We have a very extensive agenda. Separately, of course, there is the issue of Russian-Azerbaijani relations," he said.

The official welcoming ceremony of Russian President Vladimir Putin by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon will begin soon on the square in front of the entrance to the Palace of the Nation in Dushanbe. Footage from the scene is published by Izvestia.
