A criminal case has been opened in Moscow against Pavel Syutkin, a blogger and historian of Russian cuisine. This was announced on October 8 by the Moscow Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

"A criminal case has been opened against blogger Pavel Syutkin. He is suspected of committing a crime under paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation)," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to investigators, Syutkin posted publications on his Telegram channel that, according to psychological and linguistic research, contain false information about the actions of the Russian military in Ukraine.

The blogger was taken to the department of the capital's Investigative Committee for investigative actions. He will soon be charged and a preventive measure will be chosen.

On September 29, investigators opened a criminal case against journalist Ksenia Luchenko (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) for fake information about the Russian army. According to investigators, the journalist posted publications containing false information about the actions of the Russian army on the territory of another state.
