Four civilians died during the day in the Kherson region due to shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on October 7 by the governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo.

"As a result of the shelling by the Kiev regime, four civilians have been killed and one person injured over the past 24 hours," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

It is specified that four civilians were killed on the highway between Zavodovka and Gornostayevka as a result of a targeted attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on civilian vehicles.

According to Saldo, a man was injured in Novaya Kakhovka as a result of a UAV strike. He was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds in the Novokakhovskaya Central State Hospital.

In addition, according to the governor of the region, as a result of the shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Velikaya Lepetikha, a gas station was destroyed, an unused building of a medical and obstetric center was damaged in Bekhteryah, and an emergency power outage occurred in Askania Nova. By now, the power supply has been fully restored.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that two power engineers died during work to restore power supply in the Belgorod region after strikes by UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the moment, 1 thousand people in four settlements remain without electricity in the region.
