Minister of Labor Kotyakov announced the preservation of the minimum unemployment rate in the Russian Federation

The unemployment rate in Russia has currently reached its lowest levels, and it is predicted that in the near future, despite possible slight fluctuations, it will remain stable. This was announced on October 6 by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov.

"Unemployment is at its lowest levels and will remain at this level in the near future. Fluctuations are possible, but in general the situation will be on the applicant's side. For example, in August, the unemployment rate dropped to 2.1%, taking into account the high proportion of seasonal work during this period," he said in an interview with TASS.

Kotyakov noted that the situation on the labor market in Russia is largely determined by demographic factors, which leads to the continuing high demand of enterprises for qualified personnel. At the same time, the recruitment agencies themselves, as the minister stressed, are also interested in providing the citizen who applied to them with a job in order to include him in the economic process as soon as possible.

This trend, he said, allows people who are considering a job change to choose the right option for them, confident that recruitment agency specialists will support them as soon as they face the threat of dismissal or begin to think about considering a career path.

On September 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed to the preservation of the historical minimum of unemployment in the country. According to him, its average level is about 2.5%. Later, on October 2, the President of Russia, who took part in the plenary session of the XXII annual meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club, noted that it was important for the domestic economy to increase labor productivity.
