The head of the Simferopol district of Crimea resigned
Sergey Petelin, the head of the administration of the Simferopol district of the Republic of Crimea, has resigned. This was announced on October 6 by the governor of the region Sergey Aksenov.
"The head of the Simferopol district administration, Sergey Anatolyevich Petelin, wrote a letter of resignation on his own," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Aksenov clarified that Petelin's departure is related to the transition to a new job.
From 2009 to 2012, Petelin was an adviser to the staff of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Environmental Management and Ecology, and then acting Chief of Staff. In 2026, he became Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Crimea in 2016.
Since August 2022, Petelin has served as the first deputy head of the Simferopol district administration, and since October 2024 he has become the head of the municipality.
On September 25, Maxim Semenov, Mayor of the capital of the Jewish Autonomous Region of Birobidzhan, resigned. He thanked his colleagues, activists of the territorial public self-government, deputies and residents of the city for their experience and support.
