There are more than 1 million teachers in Russia who teach children traditional spiritual and moral values. This was announced on October 5 by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko in congratulating Russian teachers on their professional holiday in honor of Teacher's Day.

"Today there are more than 1 million teachers in our country. Dear teachers, you not only teach, but also educate children in the spirit of traditional spiritual and moral values," Chernyshenko said, quoted by the Russian government on its website.

The Deputy Prime Minister clarified that Russia has the most teachers in Russian language and literature, foreign languages and mathematics.

He added that, in turn, the Russian government, as part of the national Youth and Children project, is creating a modern infrastructure and providing comfortable learning conditions.

Instead of bouquets, teachers were more often given florariums.

On Sunday, October 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin recorded a congratulatory video message to teachers on the occasion of Teacher's Day. He noted that the high quality of education ensures that Russia can solve "the most difficult tasks," such as achieving scientific and technological leadership.
