Rospotrebnadzor will check information about the alleged infection of Russian tourists with the Coxsackie virus in Turkey. The corresponding statement was published on October 4 in the Telegram channel of the department.
"In connection with media reports that Russian tourists at the Crystal Admiral Resort Suites & Spa in Side reported infection with the Coxsackie virus, Rospotrebnadzor sent an official request to the Turkish Ministry of Health," the statement said.
It is noted that the Russian ministry has requested official data on the results of the investigation and an assessment of the risks of a possible deterioration of the epidemiological situation. In addition, Rospotrebnadzor asked for additional information on the infection issue.
The agency also sent requests to the Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) and the media. The situation is under the control of Rospotrebnadzor.
On September 27, Rospotrebnadzor sent a request to the Turkish Ministry of Health due to reports of mass poisoning of Russian tourists at a Kemer hotel. In addition, the ministry recalled that for prevention purposes, it is necessary to wash hands thoroughly before eating, use only bottled or boiled water for drinking, wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly, and avoid contact with people with signs of respiratory and intestinal infections.
