Chief Neurosurgeon MO Svistov announced new types of injuries in HIS

Chief Neurosurgeon of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Head of the Department and Clinic of Neurosurgery of the Military Medical Academy. Kirov Dmitry Svistov said that the statistics of combat injuries during a special military operation (SVO) is significantly different from that faced by military medicine during past conflicts.

"Our military medicine, frankly speaking, had not encountered such injuries as during a special military operation before the start of its operation. Because all the statistics that we are used to from the literature, from the analysis of the experience of even the Chechen campaign, have undergone significant changes," he told TASS.
