The Zhirinovsky Bloc movement was established at the LDPR meeting

At the founding meeting of the Liberal Democratic Party, it was decided to establish the all-Russian public movement "Zhirinovsky Block". The decision was supported unanimously by the participants of the meeting. This was reported on October 3 in the Telegram channel of the Liberal Democratic Party.

"This movement <...> has every reason to become international in a few years <...>, since the followers of [the late LDPR founder Vladimir] Zhirinovsky <..> today (there is. — Ed.) in all countries of the world," said Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the party.

He stressed that the movement should not be limited to a political party. According to him, Zhirinovsky was an "epochal phenomenon," and the Zhirinovsky Bloc will continue his work and ideas, preserving cultural heritage, forecasts and principles for the future.

The LDPR leader called on the participants of the movement to propose new ideas and projects that will be aimed at promoting the "global Zhirinovsky", which do not overlap with party initiatives.

On October 2, it was reported that Leonid Slutsky was re-elected chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party at the XXXVII party Congress for the next four years. It was attended by more than 700 party members (112 of them delegates of the congress), supporters of the Liberal Democratic Party and guests from all 89 regions of the Russian Federation. It is specified that Slutsky has been chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party since May 27, 2022.
