Actor Yakov Levda, known for his role in the TV series Sklifosovsky, was sentenced to three years in prison for beating his mother. This was reported to Izvestia on October 3 by the court's press service.

The incident occurred on November 15, 2024, when a mother called her son, reporting a quarrel with her husband. Then Levda came home intoxicated, then the conversation quickly escalated into a quarrel, during which the actor began to beat his mother and throw things around. During the conflict, a door fell on a woman, which caused her to suffer serious injuries, including broken ribs and bruises on her body. The victim managed to leave the apartment and seek help from neighbors, who called the police.

At one of the meetings, Levda fully admitted his guilt. The Nagatinsky court of Moscow found him guilty and sentenced him to three years in a penal colony.

At the time of sentencing, 39-year-old Levda participated in 29 film projects, including —Policeman from Rublyovka-4", "Alibi", "Bloodhound", "Enemy at the gate". He became widely known for his role as a doctor in the TV series Sklifosovsky. In 2013, he also starred in Alexander Mitta's film "Chagall — Malevich".

Earlier, on September 5, in the city of Vyksa, Nizhny Novgorod region, a teenager accused of murdering his mother with a hammer was taken into custody. It was clarified that the young man inflicted multiple blows with a hammer on the woman's head, after which he disappeared. The woman died at the scene from her injuries.
