The KHL world team will not participate in the Channel One Cup-2025
The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) world team will not participate in the 2025 Channel One Cup. This was announced on October 2 by Sport-Express with reference to the league's press service.
It is specified that this decision was made jointly with the Russian Hockey Federation.
The team made its debut at the Channel One Cup 2024 in St. Petersburg, finishing in third place with two points and scoring the only victory in the match against the national team of Kazakhstan (3:1).
This year's tournament will be held in Novosibirsk from December 11 to December 14.
On September 25, it was reported that the Amur Hockey Club had beaten CSKA at home for the first time in five years in a KHL regular season match. It is specified that the game ended with the victory of the hosts with a score of 2:0.
